How do I setup my GC controller on my Wii U homebrew emulating?

So I just purchased a wii u the other day and put homebrew on it. I was playing gba roms with the wii remote and thought I would be able to use a gamecube controller with the adapter to play n64, gba, ds roms etc. When I load into the emulators, the wii u gamecube controller adapter is not being detected or something and I can't use the controller. Is this possible at all?

At the moment, the Wii U Gamecube adapter is not supported by most, if not all, homebrew apps. I think your best bet would be to buy a Wii Classic Controller (the kind that plugs into the Wii remote).
Also, there's no need to bump a thread when it's already the most recent...

@bg4545 can the wii homebrew even see the adapter is connected?

I believe it can, but I don't know how.
