HOMEBREW - WII REMOTE PROBLEMS

I have installed homebrew on a couple of my friends wii's and what we have found with them is that only one wii remote will connect, we cannot connect 2, 3 or 4.

Is this a known issue with homebrew on the wii remotes and if so is there a fix?

Any help is very welcome...

Open up your Wii's SD slot, press the sync button. About 5 seconds later, open take off the battery cover on your second or third or fourth wiimote and press the sync button. The wiimote will then sync to the Wii in about 10 seconds or so.
