Semi bricked wii Opera Error when accessing settings

That is what I suspected. Updating to 4.2/4.3 from a game is what you need to do to fix it. The question is which region game to use. I would say NTSC-U for sure, but since it reports you already have an NTSC-U system menu, it is possible you need the PAL update. I recommend you try updating from an NTSC-U game first. If it does not fix the problem, you can then update from a PAL game. However, this will not work in the other order. You can not update from a PAL game and then from an NTSC-U game (unless the NTSC-U game has a higher system menu, which probably is not the case at the moment).

To perform the update, simply put the appropriate game in your wii without using SaveMii. Turn the wii off, insert the SaveMii dongle, and then turn the wii back on. Wait for the 4.1U to change to something else, and then turn the wii off (do not power the wii off while 4.1U remains on the screen if you have inserted a disc with a higher update, as this could fully brick your wii). Power the wii on again without SaveMii, and it should work.

As for the game to update from, I hear that Metroid Other M has a newer update (though I haven't checked myself). Though, I'm sure that there are others. I won't be able to help you with locating a game with the necessary update.

Thanks for the info. I have "Metroid Other M" but it will upgrade to 4.3 version. Any games that you know will upgrade to 4.2? What about "AnyRegion Changer", can it help me?
Thanks

4.3 is fine. AnyRegion Changer is preferable compared to updating from a game; however, it must be fakesigned. If you have a trucha bugged IOS 60, you can make an autoboot AnyRegion Changer disc (we can discuss this if IOS 60 does have the trucha bug). If your IOS 60 has the trucha bug, I strongly recommend you take this option. If not, though, you will have to update from a game.

Please post your SysCheck log. From this, I can ascertain whether it is possible to launch AnyRegion Changer.

AnyRegion Changer is not an option. Update from any NTSC-U game with 4.2 or 4.3.

can i ask why AnyRegion Changer is not an option just for my understanding. so i need to insert "Metroid Other M" in to wii first and then turn the wii off, plug the savemii and power wii up and wait for 30 minutes or i will see the version change on the screen? what about Super Mario Bros or Mario Galaxy 2 do they have update to 4.2?
thanks

Because there is no way for you to launch homebrew. If you system menu's IOS accepted fakesignatures, you could create an autoboot AnyRegion Changer DVD. Though again, this would have to be fakesigned (it also requires a mod chip).

The version will eventually change. Do not turn of the wii before it does.

NSMB has 4.1, and I doubt that Mario Galaxy 2 has 4.2. I don't usually know which games have which updates.

IT WORKED!!!!! booting with the savemii and "Metroid Other M" got v4.3 and now i can get in to System Options. Thank you very much for your help with this. How can i protect my wii from future bricks?

Glad you got it fixed. When installed, Bootmii/boot2 will allow recovery from essentially all bricks (of course, be sure to make a NAND backup when you first install Bootmii). I highly recommend you install it. However, Bootmii/boot2 can not be installed on newer wiis, and Bootmii/IOS (which you already have) provides no brick protection. If you have a newer wii, you will just have to be careful not to brick it again (Priiloader can protect against banner bricks, but this is only useful if you are installing custom channels or system menu themes).

We don't support WBFS or USB/backup loaders.
