wii will no longer play cds

when i put a game in it it shows the game picture but get a error when try to play iy and my drive sounds like its clicking (like when you put a dvd in your dvd player and it cant read it type of click) what can i do to chnage this ... could it be drive firmware

First of all, the Wii doesn't read CDs; it reads DVDs. Secondly, if your Wii can't read [official] Wii/Gamecube games then you need to replace the DVD drive itself. There is no firmware.

Not strictaly true, but we will go with it.

I would not recomend replaceing the drive yourself. Find a repair shop in your local aria, I'm sure they can replace it no problems.
