Only reason...

There is only a single reason I want to use the home brew channel. To use ocarina so I can just mess around with the games I have for the system. The only problem is that I had updated my Wii to 4.0 before I even tried to put the HBC on it, like a retard.

Is there any way to use this little treasure called ocarina without installing the HBC. If I had a mod chip or flatmii or something of the sorts, would I be able to create a disc or something that I could then run instead of the HBC? Would I be able to install the HBC off of disc media?

No a disc won't work and you'd have to wait for the new exploit
