Help for a old guy

I am new to all of this and I only really want to accomplish a few things. I want to install Homebrew so I can watch DVD movies from my wii. Edited Out I have read a lot but am still pretty confused. I have system 4.0u. Can someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

See the guide here: [forum.wiibrew.org] and when you install the Homebrew Channel, also install DVDx. Unfortunately as of yet playing a DVD through the Wii is rather choppy.
