Is it safe to use the WiiShop on System Menu 4.0 with homebrew?

Hi
This is my 1st post, sorry for being a n00b

I have the Homebrew Channel and the WiiHTTP Dumper channel installed, i have recently updated to System Menu 4.0 and the homebrew is still working fine.

I have read on another forum that if you enter the WiiShop after you have installed homebrew, it will delete your Homebrew Channel and any other channels that are not official? Is that true, or are people just talking crap?

Is it safe to go into the shop on System Menu 4.0?

Just some random forum i found while i was searching to find out if updating to the 4.0 menu would stop my homebrew working. I thought it might have been true since the system menu knows to delete the twilight hack save, maybe it could detect the HBC. I think some n00bs just like to start trouble!

Unfortunately, it wouldn't be the first time...
