homebrew wont start. wii just resets

so i am starting from scratch (newb) and i have 3.2 and just installed twighlight hack and all seems well. but when i go to homebrew channel and hit start the wii just resets like i hit the reset button. is this right? how do i load an app from my sd card then? sorry if its dumb but i am a newb.

so this is the "black screen" where the wii just resets when i start the homebrew page? i thought it would just freeze on a blank screen or something. im trying to get it working I uninstalled everything with the twighlight hack and reinstalled everything with bannerbomb and its the exact same. the channel is there and the intro is fine but i hit start and the wii resets.

Did you read his link? You need to use WiiSCU through bannerbomb and update IOS 60 to make the HBC work.

my friend has this problem as well. i was just wondering, how safe is updating an IOS? will it affect future firmware updates by possibly causing bricks?

basically, i just want to know if installing an IOS is going to cause future problems. that's all.
