do i need bomb banner if using twilight

i never used bombbanner. and do i need to use it on a 3.2 system thats got the twilight hack in order to get the homebrew channel back

no, just use the twilight hack to run the hackmii installer

if you have twilight princess and a firmware <4.0, twilight hack is recommended. It's more stable and seems to be easier to run.

I think the problem is actually that bannerbomb is a little harder/less straight forward to use and 99% percent of people who have "tried all the .zips and it don't work help HLP PLZ!!!!123" are making (what seems to us as) simple mistakes.
