Explain what the root of your SD card looks like.

Just so you know, the root means "not in any folders"

Can I jump in here.

I've got the same version of software on my Wii v4.1

I've loaded up the homebrew channel, no problems using the bannerbomb fix.

This is where i can't understand what's going on. When I try to load apps. onto my sd card and load them from the sd card onto the wii, nothing shows on the screen, well you get the homebrew channel background with the bubbles and all, but no apps showing on the screen for loading??

anyone come across this issue and what am I doing wrong?

Andy

Yes, andyecosse, you have one of the most issues of all; You have not properly set up your SD Card. Read the official WiiBrew FAQ for help here: [www.wiibrew.org]

I don't know for sure what the problem is, but I can show you how I installed my homebrew. I had System menu 4.0 when I did it. Just do exactly what this Youtube video does.

Youtube videos are generally fail and illegal (well, ones about Wii homebrew anyway)

How come? The creator of the video had everything packaged together in a folder to download. Before I put it on the wii, I checked to see the contents and everything was the same stuff that wiibrew had. Yes, alot of hacking videos on youtube are useless and don't work, but I was shocked that it worked. It was worth it though...
