any known issues with this

Hi everyone, great forum with lots of helpful posts. I'm completely new to the wii homebrew scene and need something clearing up.

after a recent boozy evening my wii got broken well beyond repair so ive bought a new one second hand. I bought the cheapest one i could which just happened to have a chip installed. im in no way interested in running any illegal content, i have a large back catologue of games already and i like to support developers to ensure future games are of great quality.

can someone let me know if theres any known issues with installing the homebrew channel to my wii? Do i still follow the regular process using bannerbomb?

Thanks for any help and i apologise if my query shouldnt of been posted here. if its not possible for you to answer due to the forum rules would it be possible for some one to point me in the right direction to get my question answered?
