Alright you must get an app called code downloader. Then you must get chatmanager. Next get gecko os. (you can get all of these on the homebrew browser)

1. Download rhe codes you want with code downloader.

2. Open cheat manager and select the game that you want cheats for.

3. Press plus on each of the cheats that you want.

4. Press 1 to creat these cheats into a cheat file.

5. Load gecko os and play game

You must download gecko os from wiibrew.org and put it in an apps folder. Your ad should look like this

/apps/gecko192/boot.dol

and your codes of course

do the codes go in the gecko192 folder or in the root?

No leave the codes in the CODES folder (or whatever they were in). That folder (codes) should be on the root.

Wow. Lots of misinformation here. Well, here's a complete guide!

1. Get Gecko OS from Wiibrew.
2. Go to geckocodes.org and pick a game. I'll use SSBB.
3.Click the download button under the game title.
4.Go to File -->Save page as/ Save/Save as.(Varies browser to browser)
5.Get The code manager here: Code Manager 1.2
6.Open Code manager (we're still on the computer) and open the txt file from step 4.
7. On the left side, check all the codes you want.(be sure to store modifications!).
8.Click "Export to GCT" and choose your SD Card's letter.
9. On the wii, boot up Geck OS, check in config options that SD Codes are "on", then choose start game!

Optional
1. Get "code manager" from wiibrew.
2. Move your txt file from step four into a folder called "txtcodes
3. From code manager, you can create GCT files all on your wii so you don't have to take your SD card back and forth.
4.Tell me how it goes!!
