install--how long should it take?

Ok, I downloaded HackMii and Bannerbomb and followed the directions to install. Everything went fine but I've had black screen (after this step: A window should appear "Load Boot.dol/elf?" Click "Yes") for about 45 minutes now. The machine is "humming" so I know the processor is working....is this length of time normal?

It hasnt loaded properly. Try using bannerbomb to load LoadMii instead, and use LoadMii to run the HackMii Installer.

Thanks sifjar, I've rebooted and tried again only to find I have to install BootMii as an IOS. Trying again. I'm really out of my league here. ;)

Trying again wont let you install BootMii as boot2. Either you can or you cant, and you cant. There is nothing you can do which will allow you to install it as boot2. You will only ever be able to install it as IOS.
