Confused and frustrated

OK

I tried to do a soft mod. I updated from a 3.4U to a 4.1U. I skipped a few steps in the process. I didn't not back up my NAND. I installed everything else. But when i got to the preloader screen and tried to go to system hacks i get this error "couldn't find hacks.ini neither on FAT nor on NAND!. so i was informed to start the process over again. I formated the wii system memory. so i began to start over again. I hit yes on the boot.elf. i hit 1. im at the Hackmii installer. i get this message
" This installer cannot continue
There is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this wii. please note that we will not use a fakesigned IOS due to security reasons.
Look for a updated version at:
[bootmii.org]

If this is already the latest version well suck it.."

i can only go to the Preloader menu and the wii menu. I dont have boomii nor HBC.

Is there a way to recover for this and have Bootmii and HBC again??

I want to Uninstall cIOScorp. i tried using a program called dop-IOS MOD. I dont know how to use it can somebody help me and guide me through this dop-IOS MOD program please???

First off... can you post your installer log for bootmii?
Re: Confused and frustrated
September 05, 2009 06:38PM
Download dop-IOS MOD from the Wiibrew page. Take the Boot.dol from it, place it on the root of the SD, allong with The Bannerbomb exploit and run Bannerbomb. Then chose any IOS number and install all of the IOS on the list without any patches. This may take a bit of patience. Then when they're all done, you should be able to run the Hackmii Installer the normal method.

Nevermind, see below.

You can't use dop-IOS MOD to remove cIOScorp. You need to do it manually, using NUSD and WAD Manager. Use NUSD to download the following titles, leaving the version box blank. Make sure you tick the box "Pack > WAD":

0000000100000009
000000010000000B
000000010000000C
000000010000000D
000000010000000E
000000010000000F
0000000100000011
0000000100000014
0000000100000015
0000000100000016
000000010000001C
000000010000001E
000000010000001F
0000000100000021
0000000100000022
0000000100000023
0000000100000024
0000000100000025
0000000100000026
0000000100000032
0000000100000035
0000000100000037
0000000100000038
000000010000003C
0000000100000100
0000000100000101

Then download WAD Manager 1.5 (not on WiiBrew, googles your friend), and run it. Choose IOS249 (you must have cIOS installed) when asked what IOS to run on. Then install each of these WADs in turn. Then get AnyTitle Deleter from WiiBrew and run it. Check if you have IOS201 and DVDX, and if you do delete them. Then run HackMii Installer and install HBC, DVDx and BootMii (or whatever you want to install)

Alright... since you have a cIOS use Sif Jar's method as it will work and has worked before...
Re: Confused and frustrated
September 05, 2009 06:48PM
You seem to have most IOS patched to the highest number, is there some program I don't know about that does this?
Re: Confused and frustrated
September 05, 2009 06:49PM
the latest version of cIOScorp. Their idea of "update resistance".
Re: Confused and frustrated

How do i manually use NUSD and the WAD and where do install on the SD. Keep in mind i do not have HBC
Re: Confused and frustrated

Put the WADs in a WAD folder on SD. That's where WAD manager looks for them.
Re: Confused and frustrated
September 05, 2009 07:07PM
You'll need to run WAD Manager using Bannerbomb.

Download NUSD, run the .exe (I assume you have windows), then type the first title I gave above into the "title" box. Then at the bottom tick the box "Pack > WAD", then press start download. It should start downloading, then when its finished, there'll be a folder called the title you typed in. Inside that folder there is a WAD file, and a few other files. Copy the WAD to a folder called WAD on the root of your SD card. Then do this for every title given above. Then get WAD Manager, rename the .dol file to boot.dol and put it at the root of your SD card. Then download bannerbomb and use it to run WAD Manager. Choose IOS249, then install each WAD, one at a time. And when you're done - dont install cIOScorp again.

Caopy and paste all of the numbers and paste them into the NUDS?
Re: Confused and frustrated

no, in sets of 16. they are already in the correct sets.
Re: Confused and frustrated

Copy each line individually. Copy the first, download it, then do the next. Do it for each one. Oh, and its NUSD, not NUDS

EDIT: BTW, you have System Menu 4.1, right? If not, dont do this yet.
