Wii Sports Resort update

Hello!

My brother has been using Homebrew Channel on his Wii for a while. Now he just got Wii Sports Resort for his birthday, but when he loads the game it tells him to upgrade his Wii's system. His system is currently 3.3.e. What is the recommended way for avoiding Nintendo's enforced update? Should he use WiiSCU? And download what, the different "IOS" items on the list? Sorry about my (our) newbness.

just update. it wont harm anything (unless you have warez mega fails) and unless you have downgraded the wii from 4.0 or 4.1, it is completely safe.
