4.2 didn't remove homebrew

Well I updated my wii with success but I thought it was supposed to get rid of my homebrew channel and prevent it from working. It's working just fine and I didn't use the new hackmii installer or anything. Did i just get lucky? I am able to use roms and everything just fine

If you were previously using the most recent version of the HBC, then updating would not have deleted it. I suspect that this is what happened.

You updated HBC to the latest version before updating.
