Do I need to keep any install files on the SD card?

Do I need to keep any install files on the SD card?
December 17, 2009 03:54AM
I just installed HBC/DVDx/Bootmii as directed on the wiki page, and was wondering if I needed anything left on the SD card. I wouldn't think so, but it said something while installing Bootmii (as boot2) about having to use the SD card that I didn't understand. Are there files on there now it needs, or will it work fine if cleaned out (or booted with no card in)?

You can delete the bannerbomb private folder, and the boot.elf file, but if you installed bootmii, then leave the bootmii files on the sd card. If you delete the bootmii files, then bootmii won't come up on the screen when you turn on your wii.

So if I turn on the Wii with no SD card in, Bootmii won't show up, but the system will still start fine and can do anything else?
