Newb,s wiimote won't work

I previously installed Homebrew using the Smash stack Hack. Now whenever I go to the channel and click on "launch Bootmii", it goes to the screen that shows the boxes one saying wii, another with a sd card and several others. Then the wiimote disconnects and i get stuck.

help?

Do you know what BootMii is? Wii remotes don't work in BootMii. There's nothing wrong, they just don't work; You must use a Gamecube controller.

Or the reset/power buttons on the actual Wii console.
