Problems with 4.3u...Can't Figure Out the SD Card???

Ok, I apologize because I'm completey new to this. Orginally, I downloaded the stuff but didn't get around to it. Now it appears there have been some updates. My system says 4.3u so my understanding is bannerbomb doesn't support this. So, I downloaded the letterbomb (with Hackmii bundled) directly to my computer. I extracted the files and I changed the name of the folder private to privateold. I then copied them directly to a SD card that had nothing else on it. It was just formatted FAT and those are the only 2 things on it. However, when I go to wii messageboard, there is nothing for today or any other day I can find. I have gone to the sd card part and it just shows empty. What am I doing wrong? I'm just trying to install Homebrew Channel and the FCE Ultra GX emulator but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I appreciate the help!

Nothing is showing up because you renamed private to privateold. Don't do that.
