Hey im new to all this only just got a wii today and i dont really wana pay for channels and stuff on my wii, so when i search for channel downloads i came across this site can someone please tell me a bit about homebrew and what it is for and what can be done on it and if i can get free channels from this site

it would be a big help if someone could tell me a little about this Programme (Sorry im a !*!NEWB!*!)

Homebrew can do lots of things. See this thread.

Sure. Homebrew applications are programs created by hobbyist developers.
Obviously, here, we do it for the Wii console.
For example, WiiRadio can be used to play shoutcast streams on your Wii, Gecko OS can be used to play Wii games imported from another region, and there are other cool applications and games, too.
