System Menu Update

I have a 3.3v2 wii with many homebrew apps and would like to update to 4.1 because of the sdhc support. I already did a NAND backup as to revert if i encounter probles with 4.1.
If I do update, will i have trouble with running any homebrew i already have?

Hmm, if you're on 3.3v2, then I think you may as well update. I don't think there's really any difference. If you were on v1, it wouldn't be the same.....

If I were to update by patching all my ios will i have 4.0 and be able to update to 4.1 later on or will it confllict with future nintendo updates?

I mean trough WiiSCU.

I don't know, but I'm pretty sure the only difference between 4.0 and 4.1 is because of some patch that needed to be applied for wii sports resort, so you really should just update.

Oh, just saw your other post. Just updating IOS through wiiscu won't give you 4.0. It will give you the latest versions of all the channels, though...

Thanks, i'm just wondering whether i should go to 4.1 because some ppl are semibricking their wiis with themes. In the event that a way other than softmii is released to do so, i would like to try it.

LOL, then don't use themes. FYI, softmii is illegal, so even if you get really desperate for themes, don't do it. :)

And anyway, themes are being updated for 4.1 now and people aren't semi bricking anymore.

EDIT: But they're still illegal and inadvisable. Just update to 4.1, you'll lose nothing from 3.3v2 and gain SD menu and SDHC support in System Menu.
