black screen wii startup due to modified wad

i have my drive key set to autoboot but it wont boot wadmanager iso...i used savemiifrii to get the version..4.0u..but disc keeps spinning but dont load..help please

The disc should autoboot itself when you turn on the wii using savemiifrii without setting the chip to autoboot it. However, if this does not work, you could autoboot Brawl with the chip and use Smash Stack to run WAD Manager.

On a side note, how were you able to configure the chip without the wii working? I thought that a drivekey had to be configured through the disc channel, but I maybe I'm wrong. I have not used one myself.
