Use Wiishop Channel

I read about all the warnings about updating to 4.2 but I still have some questions. First of all, will it brick my wii if i have the homebrew channel or just remove it? And is there now an updated version of the homebrew channel if I update my wii to 4.2? The only reason I am wondering about updating is because I want to download a wii ware game onto my wii but inhabe to update before I can even go to the wii shop channel. What should I do? Thanks.

Update your wii system. If your HBC/DVDx/Bootmii is deleted, simply reinstall it with the latest hackmii installer.

Its that easy. :P

The only thing those updates will do is just remove HBC if you have HBC 1.0.4 and bootmii, along with DVDx.
But, if you update to HBC 1.0.5 before updating, update your sys menu, and reinstall BootMii and DVDx.
