Installing the stubs can be a problem. If your Wii has not been bricked, it is not.

If you have the latest System Menu (currently 4.2), stubs are perfectly safe. If you're on a lower System Menu, most stubs are still safe, except those of IOS with numbers X0 (e.g. IOS60), which are System Menu IOS.

Less than 2.2: Install no stubs but 4.
2.2+: IOS11 is OK to stub.
3.0+: IOS20 is OK to stub.
3.4+: IOS30 is OK to stub.
3.5+: IOS50 is OK to stub.
4.0+: IOS52 is OK to stub.
4.2+: IOS60 is OK to stub.

Stubs with very high slot numbers, like 250, are always OK to install, as is 16.

Hello there, I have the same problem you had, only i just made it worse. when trying to install all ioses, i stupidly installed patched ones. now not only does my disc channel not work, homebrew channel is upside down. So I read somewhere all you need to do is remove it and reinstall it. The worst mistake I ever did. Now i cant install it anymore because the hackmii wont work. Turns out that i patched all the ioses and it just wont install telling me to just suck it. I have a nand.bin copy of my wii, but i cant use it because bannerbomb is refusing to work for me either. I am sooo stuck. I cant get the delete any file to work through bannerbomb to remove ios 30.

The only thing that I can load is the dopios and the dopmii but i cant get anywhere with them. This is soo confusing and I know there must be a solution since the wii still turns on and the system menu still shows up. the bootmi is gone from my wii, and i believe that was the only way i could have used my nand.bin to restore everything.....what do i do??

can i also mention that after all this i formatted my wii thinking that it might restore the ioses i changed. No luck.

Run DOP-Mii with Bannerbomb and install all IOSes without patches. Be sure not to stub your system menu IOS. It is probably best not to install any of the stubs. If you are having an issue with DOP-Mii, I need more information about problem to help you.

I have to apologize for the late response, I had no internet for a while. I cant run bannerbomb it wont work for me. Its too late to warn me about not installing the stubs because i did. when i was installing the ioses i basically reinstalled just about everything. tell me what it is you need to know to help me?

These are the ioses that are available 4,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,20,21,22,28,30,31,33,34,35,36,37,38,41,42,43,45,46,50,51,52,53,55,56,57,60,61,70,254

what should i do when they ask,
Apply fakesign patch to ios
Apply ES_ identify patch
Apply Nand permissions patch

I know the fake sign should be no but the other two?
and i used ios 36 to install other patches.

when they ask which ios to dop, what does that mean?? and what version under that should I choose??

I meant install other ioses not patches.
Is there any way to use my nand.bin back up to restore it to its previous conditon?
Can i install the homebrew channel through the dop mii

I did an internal system check and got this:"DOP-Mii Report"
"Region", North America (U)
"Hollywood Version", 0x11

Simply reinstall every IOS and do not apply any patches (you can patch IOS 36 if you know what the patches do and have use for them, but don't patch anything else). You don't have the stubs right not, and it is best not to install any IOSes that have been stubbed. After doing that, the Homebrew Channel will probably work, but if it doesn't, reinstall it. The Hackmii Installer will work normally after installing unpatched IOSes.

the only disc that will work in the disc channel is the original one it came with

Well my problem was nothing would work in the disc channel, so I had to reinstall all IOS's skipping the stubbed ones. And then my disc channel would work, if you go back through this post and there is another post I made too, it might be in that one that tells what I had to do to get it to work.

problem solved, well not solved but understood. I have a wii from Saudia Arabia brought to me by my grandparents. NTSC since they bring their stuff from America. And I guess it was hacked from the shop since it played cds fine here in Libya, which are Pal. Which is why after the update it only read the original disc. How in the world did it used to read discs from Europe without any hint of being hacked, which is what i assume was done to it. And thats why now I can kiss my other cds good bye. I cant believe this happened!!!!!!! Never payed attention to all the region stuff until now. Didnt even know that wii had region settings. BLAAAAAAAA
