New to Homebrew, the forums, need help with HBB

Ok, so I put the homebrew_browser (latest version, 1.08 or something) folder in a apps folder, I get to the HBC, but nothing comes up. Just bubbles. Help a 12 year old kid please?

Is the homebrew browser in a folder in the apps folder, or just in the apps folder?

The folder for homebrew browser is in an apps folder, in the root of my SD card. I also have an unzipped duplicate of the homebrew browser folder in the root of my SD card.

Maybe I can help :) What is the .dol/.elf file called? It MUST be called boot.dol/boot.elf Ive had lots of problems with this :)

Make sure your SD card is set up like this:

Root/apps/homebrew_browser/boot.dol, meta.xml, icon.png

Is that what it looks like?

Ok, so in BootMii, I have the Apps folder, and other stuff (not in apps). I go into apps, and it shows [HOMEBR~1.8]. In that folder, there is [HOMEBR~1] and [HOMEBR~2]. In [HOMEBR~1], there's [pictures], and HOMEBR~1.HTM.
In [HOMEBR~2], theres boot.dol, icon.png, loop.mod, meta.xml, and settings.xml.

Anything wrong?

You're not supposed to have the apps folder inside the bootmii folder. Just do this:

Make an apps folder on the root of your SD card.
Inside the apps folder, make another folder called homebrew_browser.
Now, find the boot.dol, icon.png, and meta.xml files, copy them, and then paste them into the homebrew_browser folder that is inside the apps folder.

You should now get it to launch from the HBC.

He's using the BootMii file browser.

Uhh..must I also use that process with other apps?

You can just download the rest of your apps from the Homebrew Browser.
