HBC installed successfully, BootMii problems?

Hey, I got HBC installed and running perfectly. I try to launch BootMii, and the screen goes black. (running 3.4u)
I had to borrow an SD card to install HBC and BootMii, and it said that it was installed under boot1 (at least I believe it was because there was an uninstall option for boot1 but not boot2)

Is it not working because I took out the SD card?

It cannot be installed as boot1. It can be installed as boot2 or IOS. Those are the only options. It will not work if there is not an SD card inserted with the folder "BOOTMII" and the contents of that folder as generated by HackMii Installer.
