Online play homebrew

Hi,
I want to softmod my wii. Now i have nba 2k11 and this game updates with the nba (standings and such) every now and then. If i install homebrew will i get banned from the nintendo network or something? Same question with other games on Wii that you can play online; will it still be possible after the installation?

Yes, you can still play online if you have homebrew installed. Just don't cheat online 'cause that gets you banned.

okay so when i use the backup copy of my nba2k11 game i dont get banned or something for using a copied disc? Just asking cause i want to be sure. T
