Hi all, dont want to create a new thread as this is similar to my probs..
I have a chipped Wii 3.4E UK PAL but just want to install homebrew/ocarina
i formatted my SD card FAT32 created a folder called "apps" and dropped the boot.dol file in the root
but within the the_homebrew_channel-beta_9 rar file there is a folder called wiiload.. what do i do with that?
drop it in the apps folder or unpack it into the apps folder or drop the whole folder in the SD root?
Also, cant make head nor tail of previous posts about whether 3.4E is ok to install homebrew without downgrading
i downloaded "twilight-hack-v0.1-beta2" not number 1 :)
any advice would be highly appreciated..
My 5 year old son justs wants to complete Mario Kart so he can have all karts/Bikes

thanks

I made a new thread for you because your questions are a little more complex than those in the thread you posted in.

To answer your questions:

You dont need the wiiload folder. You can get rid of it if you want to.

Put ocarinas boot.dol in a folder inside the apps folder.

You can use all the homebrew you want to use on 3.4E just fine. It is illegal to downgrade from 3.4E if you did not install a homebrew cIOS before upgrading to 3.4E

I hope this helps you.
Cheers,
Arikado

Thanks Arikado for very quick response.....

So my SD card being the H:\ drive should look like this:

H:\boot.dol (homebrew boot.dol) also
H:\apps\ocarina\boot.dol "ocarina boot.dol" ?

Sorry for my Noobability but bit scared of doing it wrong :)

You also need the twilight hack on your SD card. After that, you're good to go.

Ok followed instructions, played the game and created a save file, in pc replaced save file with the data.bin file from provate\wii\title\rzde on Wii deleted original zelda save from Wii console and copied over the new data.bin from SD card but in data management, the file came up as a question mark "?" started the game it said there is no save file for this game should i create one, i clicked no start game run around but nothing?
:(

from the instructions it said copy the data.bin file from the rzde folder but when i save a game it creates rzdp folder.
Should i use the data.bin from twilight rzdp folder instead of rzde?

YES it worked thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!! just data.bin from rzdp instead of rzde

Hi,
well what i initially wanted was to install ocarina which i have done but it is asking for the "cheat" files for Mario Kart
Its not for online but just single player mode so we can use the cheat to unlock all the Karts and Wii suits time trials etc
what software do i need to do this?
Thanks again for your help so far.. i only have a few hairs left to pull out lol
Sorry if you havent attempted this before but hope you have :)

I think i created a .GCT file with codemgr replaced the XX & Y's with 03 or 3
but not sure where to place the .GCT file once exported

I'm not a cheat expert, but you can find the cheat files online. I think the place is called cheatzilla? IDK, google around for a bit.

You make a folder on the root of your SD card called "codes" and put your .GCT file in there.
You can find more codes at [usbgecko.com]

Thanks, i got it sorted now.. have whole range or suits karts and bikes!
I find that if you keep pressing like Bullet bill the game freezes.. was just trying to rush through though only need to really press it once or twice occasionally to beat ghost times and win all cups in mirror mode..
Im going to try to find what other Apps Homebrew has

We have some great homebrew games as apps. I made Wii Shooting Gallery and WiiBreaker. Supersonic Wii, Quake, Mahjongg Wii, Splatter Castle, and Helium Boy are all great fun games too.
