SD card question

SD card question

If I have an SD card in the Wii and BootMii is running from it, is it okay to take the SD out when it is running? What happens if you do that? I would like to know for future reference, in case I want to make a backup but have to use a separate card.

Once it is running, it is in RAM, so it should be OK to remove the SD card. But there is probably still a chance of getting SD card corruption or something. I'd say if you need to use a different SD card for a backup, just copy the "bootmii" folder from your primary SD card to that one and then boot the Wii with the second SD card inserted.

Okay, thanks. Knowing this, I might copy the BootMii folder to an empty card for backup. This is all I needed to know. Thanks. Although, I might not need an extra SD boot disk if the backup is less than 800 MB.
