a way to fix bricked wii's

I'd say just a WAD installer written for MINI would be good enough. Just one that could be run from Ceiling Cat by selecting SD Card, then the .elf. Dont see why it has to be integrated into Ceiling Cat.

Fair enough. Anyway why is it called Ceiling Cat? is this some internet meme I don't know about?

I dunno. If it is, I dont know about it either. Perhaps a reference to IOSCatz?

If it is a reference, then I don't understand why the "Ceiling" is in there. maybe it's something to do with it running on the PPC side?

i would make it so you have to wait 10 minutes for it to say "un-brick your wii"

Huh? I dont really understand what you mean "wait ten minutes". Are you talking about once you select it in bootmii, it;d freeze for ten minutes before working? that seems completely pointless to me.

Why would they delete all their "info" as you put it? It's not going to be Comex's NAND Formatter, it'll just be a WAD installer, no risk of losing anything.

no, it would overwrite those IOSes. Do you know what an IOS is? Most IOSes are overwritten at each update.

And TopGun gets it. And overwriting an IOS will delete NOTHING. No saves, no channels, nothing. It is NOT like getting the wii out of the box.

In the case of the Wii, it's Input/Output System, not Integrated Operating System.

As you can see right on that page IOS means many different things... in this case "Input/Output Subsystem"

oh, from what i've heard its integrated operating system, this kinda makes more sense, since we are installing a os
