a wiimote emulator for pc

basically, the PC broadcasts signals that emulate those that come from a wiimote. The Wii picks these up and executes them as commands.

Not only can one play a game with a keyboard or other pc device, but it may also be possible to have a text file of commands be executed

...Kinda pointless if you have a Wii, considering you'd also have a Wiimote, no?

^^^Agreed. The Wii doesnt need a secondary device giving it signals it already can pick up and execute on it's own. If this was for more development purposes then I can see it possibly having a use...However....You'd need a IR sensing device to hook up to your pc to even get the signals from a Wiimote, and I dont know for certain if there is one or not. Remember the Wii uses the IR sensor bar to pick up those movement signals the Wiimote broadcasts when a player makes a move, or gesture, or w/e.

Negative.

The IR sensor bar picks up nothing... it just shines two IR lights... that's it. The wiimote picks up the location of those two lights relative to each other to determine the wiimote's orientation and position on space... the wiimote then sends that info to the wii via B/T.

The cord that goes to the back of the wii from the bar is strictly the IR power source.

I could see a use for this, (maybe to bind a keyboard key to a number of wiimote commands) but you really wouldn't be able to use it for that many things... (bind up up down down left right left right B A to the space bar!!! :D )

To prove this, try pointing the Wii Remote at a lightbulb, or candle.
