WiiMC not loading on 4.1u - 14 years ago

I recently snagged WiiMC because I have been trying really hard to get DVD playback on my Wii but it doesn't seem to work. I installed that IOS 202 they had and the latest version, but when I try to run it from the homebrew channel it runs into an "Exception", shows a lot of numbers in code (or something) and reboots to the HBC menu. So it's not even like I am getting an "invalid DVD" m
