Game controllers for NES/SNES/Sega Genisis Emulators - 7 years ago

Hi all, I have modded my wii and installed a few emulators. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on which controllers to use. I have used the wii stick perfectly with NES games but is there any consensus on which to use with SNES and Genisis emulators? I would prefer not to spend too much and would prefer them to be wireless. I have an xbox 360 controller but I imagine this
