sorry for the thread necro. I had just gotten frustrated and walked away until I felt like dealing with it. me and the family used the Internet Channel to streaming movies. We adopted one of the players for streaming. I finally felt like dealing with it again. Again apologies for the LATE reply and follow up TopGun. It didn't work. Nothing seems to work. I have no idea what's goiby .jayderyu - Homebrew Applications
Ok so I used TBR. Downgraded IOS15, patched IOS36(ES and Nand permissions). Upgraded IOS15 back.Thank you for that. It seems that IOS36 now has the Trucha Bug(why is called a Truch Bug) I haven't succeeded using ATD yet, but progress has been made. There are far less errors now. Though when I start ATD somekind of filesystem error does come up. The Internet Channel isn't inslalled, bby .jayderyu - Homebrew Applications
I tried what you said. It said it was done. Installing to Title 00000001-0000024 v3341...1...-: ED_AddContentStart(0000000100000024, 0) failed: -1017 install returned -1 Installation compete ERROR: Something failed. (ret: -1) Continue? It's not running 3351 which says it's the latest. I tried again. Returned somekind of directory write error and booted me our of DOP-Ios.by .jayderyu - Homebrew Applications
Thank you. I will try this sometime today. How do I go about patching IOS 36?by .jayderyu - Homebrew Applications
Well I can get it to start deleting the channel. In the end it did delete it, but it get's thourlghy stuck while trying selete the data. I'm thinking the save data is corrupt. Is there a way to get ATD to delete it? Thanks for letting me know about the format wiping the system. I really don't want to have to rebuy everything :(by .jayderyu - Homebrew Applications
Well to start my Internet Channel hasn't worked for over a month. It would start loading and then just stay there for ever. I decided to let it be. I came back to it today because I waned to browse some stuff while laying back on the sofa. Deleted the old one, reinstall and didn't work. Did some searching on the Nintendo forums and found a similar issue that the save data is corrupt. Trby .jayderyu - Homebrew Applications
Currently it's the faulty drive. I will take your advice and try to use a different Wii drive when I can. I don't have any extras, but my friend has a Wii that he might not mind trying. I will also try just taking out the drive too. I'll update when I get the oppertunity to check it out.by .jayderyu - FixMii
Hey I had a thought. I didn't mention it before cause I didn't think they were related. My Wii Disc Drive died about a week maybe less when this problem showed up. Just an idea, but is it possible that during the startup(before health screen) the Drive is being checked for a game, but ends up completely failing? resulting with a hang? I don't know if that's guaranteed or noby .jayderyu - FixMii
Todays update. It's now bricked less of the time :\ I've started using the Homebrew app Menu loader and loading from a different ios than 36. It doesn't work all the time, but it seems I can get to the Wiimenu more often. If anyone has any ideas to fix the problem long term it would be appreciated. Also this morning a hang occurred on the Health Screen allowing for no further inpuby .jayderyu - FixMii
Well I would love to update with some good news, but unfortunately I can't. The bricked 80% of the time still persists after the a reinstall of the system menu. I also deleted the Nintendo Chanel which was the last thing installed. As mentioned where the Health Screen appears is just a black screen and I can still connect the Wiiremotes.by .jayderyu - FixMii
Your probably right. That's why I used the menu list and selected the one with a 4.1(u) instead of 4.1(e). Ok I finally did the wad install for the system menu. Same thing. Sometimes boots to the wii menu, but most of the time it doesn't. Could it be something else like graphical setting. It just seems odd that it runs homebrew apps, bootmii, works perfectly fine sometimes, but not mby .jayderyu - FixMii
btw thanks for the reply :) ok, I've got the System Menu-NUS-v449.wad. When running the WAD installer with the WAD will this affect my WiiWare games? Or just fix the system menu? any preference for which Wad installer I should use?by .jayderyu - FixMii
Sorry, I did some searching and didn't find the exact symptoms, but maybe I just overlooked it. I'm having a most of the time bricked Wii problem. I start the Wii. I get BootMii, I let the timer run out to get into the Wii Menu and then black screen. No health menu, but oddly I can connect my Wii remotes. After so many tries sometimes the Wiimenu comes up, but most of the time it doesn&by .jayderyu - FixMii
