you knew i'd be back. can you tell me where or how exactly to put any title deleter on the sd card? should i unzip it directly to the card or do i need to put it in the apps folder within the card.by JustaShmoe - Getting Started

ok here goes. and again thanks a bunch. the nand dump seems to have went successful. i copied it (actually i copied the whole sd card) onto my computer. i referred to it as disc channel update because it was the disc channel tv screen on the wii menu that was spinning and begging to be clicked. ? even though my wii settings indicate that i am at 4.2u, when i put the new sup. marioby JustaShmoe - Getting Started
i actually think i get it. i currently have bootmii as boot2. so i do the update to the sd card, copy the sd card to my laptop. do an update of the disc channel. then reinstall hackmii which will re-inable my bootmii or give me the option of reinstalling bootmii. 1. if i was able to do bootmii as boot2 before the update then i shouldnt have trouble doing it again after the update rigby JustaShmoe - Getting Started
I am hoping to get this wrapped up today. Again, a bit nervous to actually delete stuff I think I should back up first. I have read and read about NAND and bootmii but now have the confusion of what to do with it. Is NAND actually on my wii system or is that something I have to add. And I assume that I will back up onto an sd card is it ok to use the same sd card that i have homebrew on? iby JustaShmoe - Getting Started
ok, however, can you tell me what on that list i should "not" remove?by JustaShmoe - Getting Started
do you think i would be better off deleting it all and starting fresh?by JustaShmoe - Getting Started
I think my main problem is that I am not sure exactly what I have on my system. a friend soft modded my wii and I was at 3.2u. I had homebrew, gamma channel, and the regular wii channels (mii channel, weather, internet, etc.) when the 4.2 updated games came along. We couldn't play any of our new games because we needed an update but i was fearful of updating without him. He tried emailinby JustaShmoe - Getting Started
thank you - i did not do that. will try now.by JustaShmoe - FixMii
i just downloaded the gecko os, put into the apps folder of my sd card but couldnt find it when i went to the homebrew channel. not really sure what to do. i have the gamma channel installed - i don't know if that means anything but since i still haven't clicked the update icon on the disc channel that is what enabled my other games (mario, toy story, family game nite 2) to work. anywby JustaShmoe - FixMii
we have never been able to play them on our machineby JustaShmoe - FixMii
yes they are. the rockband is the beatles addition if that makes a difference but its the bundle (the first experience for us with rockband) and will only recognize the mic i borrowed my neighbors wii to make sure the equipment actually worked and it does but not with our machine as it is now.by JustaShmoe - FixMii
I am feeling more confident in trying to update this system on my own and it makes me worry. I wanted to fix an issue and in researching, I saw something that "may be the solution (but maybe not too)". So, the question is if I try adding an IOS or cIOS thinking that might be it, and it happens NOT to be the right solution, will it just "not work" or could I polute the system with too many ios tby JustaShmoe - Getting Started
Ok, first let me say thank you sooo much for getting me through this wii menu loss. I know I would never have solved this on my own. Just the fear of pushing that final "execute" button and wondering if it will show the black screen of no return was a nightmare. I have a couple more issues to figure out but I will also rescan this site for the answers as I am sure they are more easily fixed.by JustaShmoe - FixMii
ok so far so good i am "almost" very very happy. I have found my wii menu. success. thank you thank you thank you. but wait....... Good news is: i could sync the remote. great my wii menu has homebrew, gamma channel, and all the regulars, great BUT... when i put in the store bought new super mario bros disc, the disc channel saysby JustaShmoe - FixMii
what would happen if i chose the wrong one?by JustaShmoe - FixMii
ok i installed the dop ios mod onto sd card, found it on the homebrew channel, clicked it and it is now asking me: which ois would you like to use to install other IOSs. (what do i put?) remember, my white screen indicated that i had ios v70 prior to me doing this today. thank you so much for your patience and knowledge.by JustaShmoe - FixMii
Do I want Dop –IOS MOD v11 Beta6 zip or Dop-IOS MOD v10.1zip? (or doesn’t it matter) and yes I am connected to the internet. So do I put the Dop that I download into the “apps” folder of the sd card? If yes, then after I put the sd card back into the wii will it appear on the homebrew channel for me to click on? if this is needed, this is what is in my current "apps" folder.by JustaShmoe - FixMii
Detail of white screen: System Menu Homebrew Channel Bootmii IOS Installed File Load/Install File System Menu Hacks Settings Bottom right of screen says “priiloader v0.1 (| 15) Bottom left says IOS v70 Systemmenu v481 When I click "system menu", it remains on this same white screen appeared above. I sent this because the bottom left indicating v70 is perhaps already in here?by JustaShmoe - FixMii
I need help with getting my wii menu back. The person who originally modded my system has moved away, and via email has sent me files to put on my sd card to update from 3.2u. I followed all his instructions just as he said, however, at the last step when we were at the white screen “system menu” and thought we were done, I couldn’t get back to the wii menu. It just kept returning to the whby JustaShmoe - FixMii
