Upgraded to 3.4E.....Did I do a bad thing? - 15 years ago

Hello I thought I'd treat myself to a Wii for my 40th on Thursday. On the big day I plugged my Wii in and messed around with the settings and discovered that I could connect my new toy to my wireless router.
