thank you for your reply it lets me intall hombrew from the sd card but once it is loaded on the wii it will open to a black screen so i don't think it's the sd card but i heard the new wii i bought is one of the new onse that includes the 3.4u that lets you install hombrew but wont let you open it so it makes sense i guess.by awesomewassom - Getting Started

I get a black screen i successfully got the home brew channel to work but whenever i install something and try to load it my wii gets stuck on a black screen somebody said i need to downgrade because i am on 3.4 but when i try the down grader it also goes to just a black screen. If i were to buy a brand new wii would it come with the latest FW 4.0 preinstalled or does it have a older version because i really want to mod my wii once i get it and plan on using the twilight hack so will i be out of luck until they find a workaround for 4.0 or do the newer wiis still have the older firmware on them?by awesomewassom - Getting Started
