Just a quick followup on this one. I installed BootMii last night and it could not install as boot2, so low s/n or not I guess something is updated on it... oh well.... such is life :-)by rmasters21 - Getting Started
I bought a Wii off Ebay (it was from the Best Buy Outlet and believe it was a customer return or something like that) I have been reading about how BootMii installs differently in LU64+ consoles that were manufacured in late 2008. Since the S/N on mine is LU1122XXXXX do you think I will be able to install it as boot2? And yes I know the only way to know for sure is to give it a try and wilby rmasters21 - Getting Started
Thanks for the fast answers. After I asked the question I kept looking through more post here and once again saw some different answers :-) Once the initial install is finished and working do you leave the boot.elf file and the private folder on the SD of should they be deleted? Hi guys, I am a newbie here and have been reading a ton of post from the site and the links too. I have a few questions that I hope you can help me with and sorry that they are so dumb... Just got a Wii yesterday and plan to run HackMii tonight on it to install BootMii and Homebrew Channel. My question is this. Once I have things installed do you have to keep the SD card in the Wii alby rmasters21 - Getting Started
