Update went smooth, rather long(~10min), but smooth. Thanks.by Isaactoo - Getting Started
I just updated my Wii to version 4.1 from a Monster Hunter game disk...I went through the trouble to hook my Wii up to a power supply and was wondering, if I installed 4.2 from the internet, would it re-install the exact same boot2v4? (risking my Wii again) I'd like the wii shop channel (the only thing I'd gain from 4.2), but if there's 1/1000 chance like said on hackmii.com...Iby Isaactoo - Getting Started
Ok, one more question...is there a way for me to install the 4.2 update without touching low level system stuff that could possibly prevent SaveMii from working (in case I had a corrupt update or power failure)?by Isaactoo - Getting Started

I plan on pre-ordering a game coming out later this month (MH3) and was wondering whether it would be safer to update from the game's disk rather than via the internet. (on hackmii.com I saw it's 1 in a thousand get bricked) Also, since the hackmii installer would not install as boot2, does this mean I already have the boot2v4? And would Nintendo's update overwrite it exactly withby Isaactoo - Getting Started
