From this thread I found that I simply needed to change Preloader to use IOS 249 Still can't get my apps to work thoughby CapBloodbeard - FixMii
Mate, thanks for posting the fix - you saved my life and now mine's fixed too :Dby CapBloodbeard - FixMii
When bootmii is installed as an ios, does it ALWAYS come up with the 'bootmii is not installed, too dangerous to continue' error message when you try to restore the NAND, or is this pointing to a more particular problem? I only ask because I'm semi-bricked my wii as per , and I'm just trying to figure out exactly how scary that message is - and how to restore my nand.by CapBloodbeard - BootMii Beta
Ok, so I've come across some problems..... I used this guide - GBAFail I was unable to install bootmii to boot2, so I installed it as an IOS. I DID back up my NAND though (thank god) I skipped the IOS36 step and it all went fine. Then I used GBAFail again to update from 3.3 to 4.2 This ruined Preloader, and trying to reinstall it said something about IOS36 being edited. Alsby CapBloodbeard - FixMii
