I hope that IceCreamSandwich makes things easier :/ But great to hear that you guys are not going to give up!by FelixL - Hardware
Did you update your Xoom to 3.1 yet? And did you read my email concerning the source-code off the test app? Thanks!by FelixL - Hardware
Anything new? I have tried to compile the kernel for the Blade, but didn't work, CM7 was no problem to compile, but has a prebuilt kernel. I will ask some guy from the UK for help this weekend.by FelixL - Hardware
Great news :-) I'm reinstalling Ubuntu at the moment to get it work on the Blade. Edit: Greg, you need either someone who can do this for you or a Linux distribution, some time to download the kernel source and little skills in using a command line.by FelixL - Hardware
Trrrriple post! I've made a post in a german android forum to get more devices tested: You can find the results in the first post, so far only the HTC Desire HD (which is an Evo 4G without the 4G ;)) and the Galaxy S have positive results! On the other side, not even the Nexus One did work. What I think: the bluetooth architekture shows that bluez has a kernel-part and a userspace paby FelixL - Hardware
CM7 on the ZTE Blade: JavaIOError, permission denied. Honeycomb on the Blade: no working Bluetooth, yet.by FelixL - Hardware
No problem, as you may have noticed the same happened with the message you sent me :D And no, there seams to be no option for notifications on pm. Thanks for the app! I will try it with cm7 and with honeycomb on the Blade.by FelixL - Hardware
Did you test 2.3 on your Droid? Cyanogen 7 has working bluetooth. If you have got some kind off easy test procedure/app, I think I will be able to test it by the end of next week (depends on how fast bluetooth on 2.3 gets fixed for the Blade/San Francisco).by FelixL - Hardware
Just found this, but it's about 3.0: QuoteNew types of connectivity: New APIs for Bluetooth A2DP and HSP let applications offer audio streaming and headset control. Support for Bluetooth insecure socket connection lets applications connect to simple devices that may not have a user interface. Isn't this what we need? Hopefully this API will come to phones, too...by FelixL - Hardware
Great news :) I just got my ZTE Blade /Orange San Francisco, it's currently running 2.1, I'm waiting for a release with 2.3 where I can use this phone for phone calls ;) But I've got good news too: it seams ZTE used the normal bluetooth implementation and didn't mess it up like HTC did.by FelixL - Hardware
By the way, did you ever find information about alternative wii accessories, like the Nyko wand? i'm eager to know what this one uses as VID,PID and device name....Nintendo RVL-CNT-01? :Dby FelixL - Hardware
QuoteGregWiiBrew has great documentation on the Wiimote bluetooth spec. Yeah, because of this site I thought you need HID with android in the role of a device. I think if you get the first button working it will take under a day to get everything else ;) Which devices are you using, only the droid or anything else? I had an HTC Hero, and HTC totally screwed bluetooth. Even Ryans app didn'by FelixL - Hardware
Just found this topic as I searched for the features of the new bluez stack in 2.3. I had the same idea as you some time ago in February, but this project was way to big for me. I didn't even clear the first hurdle, returning the right VID and PID, as you can see here: I also contacted Ryan Frawley, who connected the Wiimote to some android devices as an IME, you propably know his app,by FelixL - Hardware
