.zip extractor

i want you people (if you can...) to make an app that can EXTRACT .ZIP and .RAR.
its cuz sometimes what I have in hand is my PSP and no pc, i download apps to my Micro memory stick. and i have an adapter to put it on wii but the apps are 95% compressed. i though an app that can Extract, choose location and rename apps so i can download apps to my PSP and use them on Wii without my PC

I'm pretty sure there's a homebrew for the PSP to extract zips, but I know of none for the Wii.

I don't think there is currently any library that extracts rar files, but there is minizip which extracts zip files. I'm sure some rar library could easily be ported though.

This site is not for PSP Homebrew requests.

The initial request was for the Wii.
Or at least I understand it as one for the Wii

He's requesting an app for PSP so that he can download Wii Homebrew apps to his memory stick, and then extract them so that he does not have to use his pc at all.

Obviously, there is a serious flaw in his plan here since he'll still need to use his pc to transfer files from the Memory Stick to the SD Card.

To that end: his request is pointless and in the wrong place of the internet, his thinking flawed (dont forget to note his ignorance of bg4545), and now his topic locked.

I think he's planning on using LoadMii to read his USB drive.

I still think, that Wiiman is asking for a Zip-like program on the Wii, or anything else, that can help him (see bg4545#s post)
Maybe WiiMan can clarify it.

Anyway, I think such a program could be helpfull, and should be made.

Rar? No. Only if you port Unrar.
Zip? Oh, my, sir, never heard about zlib ever?

uh arikado? what about usb mode? plug the psp into the usb port and....uh, do we have an app that is like sd explorer, but for usb? bad plan.

AFAIK, no. And if there is, I'll bet my left foot that it wont work with the PSPs filesystem or allow for PSP to SD file transfers. (And I'll thank you to restrain yourself from commenting on striked out text in the future)

No it doesn't. It just uses a FAT32 formatted MS. I can almost guarantee this. It's certainly FAT, I think 32.

Will be hackable soon with the new Call Of Duty game.

correction: it's medal of honour, and the game is very old, the EXPLOIT is new. And there is no HEN for it. And because 5.03 ChickHEN isn't open source, we don't know the kernel exploit used, so only davee can port it to 5.50. Dont upgrade to 5.51 though, the kernel exploit is blocked in it afaik, but it's still in 5.50. So stay on 5.50 and there MAY be a HEN for it through Medal of Honour: Heroes.
