homebrew question

I added the bannerbomb homebrew channel. my wii is v3.4

can I downgrade my wii to 3.2 or do I have to remove the homebrew channel?

why would you want to downgrade? downgrade = teh epic fail.

NEVER downgrade, it'll quite possibly brick you wii and is totally unnecessary. There is NOTHING that works on 3.2 that wont work on 3.4, or even 4.1. Except StarFall, but you can use StartPatch for that. And why would you remove HBC?

That's why I asked.

I read you can't install certain things with 3.4.

Since I used Bannerbomb and not the Zelda hack to get a homebrew channel. Can I still install stuff like a wad manager?

can I use the Zelda hack guide since I already have a homebrew channel?

install IOS 257
run CIOS_Fix.WAD
IOS downgrader

will that work?

IOS downgrader

I don't think that is either.

And SifJar just told you that downgrading isn't supported here, either.
There isn't really anything you're missing out on if you're on 3.4. Just continue to use the homebrew channel without downgrading. Its great!! :D

Like I said, you dont need to risk bricking your wii and downgrading to enjoy homebrew. There is only one thing I know of that wont work on 3.4 and thats starfall, which isn't really necessary anyway. And as said above, the stuff you mentioned isn't supported here, and some of it is in fact illegal. And there is no IOS257. The maximum IOS there can possibly be is IOS255. The wii wont allow anything higher.

Woah, we're just trying to help. None of us want you to brick your Wii.

OK. We don't like WADs or Backups here. but for everything else, a simple update would be good, as it would likely remove many of the "bad" stuff but keep the necessities like the Homebrew Channel. You will keep important things like your "cIOS" in case you get bricked. We also HIGHLY recommend you install Bootmii/Boot2 if possible. To do so, run the Bannerbomb the normal way, select the "Boomii" option, then select "Install as Boot2". Then your Wii will have a sort of "safety net" in case anything goes wrong.
