i have troubles to play pokemon emerald when i try to play appears a white screen i cant start the game.

I've had a simillar problem and fixed it. when you start Pokemon Emerald, go to the Vba home menu, go to game settings,video and try changing the RENDERING and COLORIZE MONO GB. that might fix it.
