mplayer ce

i have been reading all the posts i can and i don't get anywhere i just installed homebrew and dvdx downloaded mplayer ce and can't get any dvd's to work what do i need to watch a dvd?


is the dvdx app a separate app that i need?

Mplayer CE needs to be updated. Until then, it wont let you watch DVDs.

oh ok is there any other players that will work? That was the main reason i downloaded homebrew oh and love the browser btw makes downloading a lot easier

If you have 3.3v1 or lower you can install USB2.0 cIOS with built in DVDx.

AFAIK, not ATM. They all need to receive the same update.

ok thanks and no metriod i have 4.2 but thanks any idea on if and when they will update?

If: Yes. When: No information has been released suggesting any indication of an estimated date.

There is a beta available if you go on the mPlayer CE IRC channel which I have heard works with the new DVDx, although I have not tried it.

and i put that in the apps folder right?

or do i replace the dol file with this one

guess i'll wait til ce updates hopefully sooooon
