...Or why does Nintendo's official emulator looks so bad? I've decided to buy every game from the shopping channel that I beat, and I was rather amused to find that Nintendo's emulator looks quite a bit worse than FCE Ultra (or any emulator for that matter):

I took both pictures with the same camera in the same lighting. I'm too lazy to try to figure out a way to screen capture, but I think you get the idea. Anyone else notice this?

If you think brighter is better, then yes, I see what you mean.

For one FCE Ultra most likely has more video filters than Nintendos emulator. Probably also true pallette support, which essentially means that the color pallettes the NES used are being used and emulated as well. Not that Nintendos most likely isnt, but the FCE Ultra is probably following it more closely from the looks of it.
