wiiSCU problem cant choose v19 only yes/no please help.

hey, i want to use my shop channel but i dont want to update my wii to 4.2 so ive been surfing abit on the net and found that wiiSCU could do the trick. so i tried it but when i load it up i couldn't choose what version to use, it just says yes or no. what should i do?

If you don't want 4.2 then that's perfect... just make sure you've got the latest homebrew and you can do an official nintendo update and it'll put you at 4.3. You won't lose homebrew as long as you've got the latest HBC.

sorry i dont think you understood me. i cant choose v20 when i try to update my shop channel and if i choose yes then it only updates to v18 and then it still dosn't work?

WiiSCU sucks. Use DOP-Mii.

Let me clarify; WiiSCU is outdated and does not give you the latest version. Use DOP-Mii: WiiBrew Edition to download the latest shop channel.

no, i understood you... i was saying do an official nintendo update... it won't take you to 4.2 and your homebrew will still work. Or you can use DOP-Mii.

wait, i thought 4.3 deletes homebrew and wrecks Havoc with all the cIOS and IOS....

It deletes old versions of the Homebrew Channel and we could care less about cIOSes.

ok so i used DOP-Mii to update my shop channel to v20 and i also installed the correct IOS 61 but when i open the channel it crashes and takes me to Home...i have 4.1, any ideas?

The Shop Channel v20 needs IOS56. Install it with DOP-Mii as well.

56? thanks a lot, its been a yr since i messed around with my wii so im kinda behind...if i upgrade to 4.3, will i still be screwed?

No, as long as you have the latest HBC then it will not be removed.

I think if you get a older version of hackmii installer it will remove the divx, or you get remove what you can then update to 4.3 it should delete the rest of it. Dunno if it will get rid of all traces or not.
