Just so I don't have to repeat myself I made this post for people who have to ask this question or variants of it. People as the name says, use the BIOS! Make sure that you always boot it through the SCPH1001.bin BIOS (don't ask for links just Google it!) as it almost always never fails and make sure that your games are in the .bin/.cue format as that can also cause problems. You'll save me and most of the people on this forum a lot of headaches from repeating the answers to the same types of questions. (With any luck this might get stickied!)
