Mayflash Adapter Issue

So, I recently bought a Mayflash NES/SNES to Wii Adaptor to play my SNES, NES, and GBA games on and for some reason my SNES controller does not seem to function at all, like A and B work and so do the directional buttons along with start and select. But X and Y don't work at all. Is it an issue with the Emulator that I am using or the adaptor itself?

How are we supposed to know if it's a problem with the emulator when you didn't say which emulator you're using?

My apologies, its SNES9x GX for SNES.

So...There is no answer?
