Snes9xGX SRAM and Cheats

So, what are SRAM save files? I see SRM files on my SD but no SRAM. Also, how do I get cheats to work on Snes9x GX because they aren't working on Fire Emblem Seisen no Keifu.

From what I understand, SRAM saves are battery saves; what the original cartridge would have loaded rather than a full snapshot.

And, unfortunately, the creator of the GX emulator series has said that he has no interest in adding cheat code support.
